SST - Samples should not be taken from patients receiving therapy with high biotin doses (i.e.greater than 5 mg/day) until at least 8 hours following the last biotin administration. Transfer separated serum or plasma to an aliquot tube

2 hours at 15‑25 °C, 48 hours at 2‑8 °C, 56 days at ‑20 °C (± 5 °C).
Stability of serum obtained with separating tubes: 24 hours at 2-8 °C
